Below are some morning shows I produced while working at WSPA 7NEWS. It includes severe weather, election and back-to-school coverage.

Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene hit Upstate, SC, and Western NC as a tropical storm late September, 2024. The storm became the deadliest in South Carolina history and is blamed for more than 230 deaths across the southeast. However, it’s most remembered for its impact in Western NC. This playlist includes shows I produced from the day Helene hit and the aftermath that followed.

This playlist features the main blocks of my morning shows that track breaking news for WSPA. My latest uploads follow a meteor sighting in South Carolina & Georgia, extreme heat along the east coast and a pivotal moment in the Israel-Iran war.

Back to School in the Upstate

Students went back to class across the Upstate in South Carolina in early August. This is my main block from a 6 a.m. broadcast highlighting back to school in Spartanburg and Anderson Counties with live interviews.

2024 Election

The South Carolina republican primary was a huge boost to President Donald Trump’s bid for the White House. It proved to be a turning point in the race for the GOP nomination as Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley lost in her home state. Attached is a YouTube playlist of shows covering the republican primaries in the Palmetto.

Every summer, the 7NEWS morning crew takes trips across Upstate SC, western NC and even the Great Smoky Mountains for live shows. We showcase small communities, sports events and more. This playlist features some of the live “Zip Trips’ I produced while at WSPA.
