Rationale
This project took me through a treacherous aspect of design that hits so close to an industry I’m in – writing and reporting. Print design is some of the hardest, most intricate and tedious designs I’ve ever indulged in, but that doesn’t really cross your mind given how newspapers are just thrown around on your doorstep on a weekly basis. Is that even still a thing? This was actually one of my very first designs as I stepped into the world of design. Granted, it’s not the greatest newspaper design you’ll ever see, but to me it shows a new designer persevering through the overwhelmingness and trickiness that is Adobe design software. I used Adobe InDesign and my own original reporting on a UGA soccer match to create this project, and, upon completion, I emerged over that initial hump of digital design.
