About Me

I am a news producer for WSPA 7NEWS in Spartanburg, South Carolina. We are a Top-40 news market that covers upstate South Carolina, western North Carolina and northeast Georgia. I have worked as a producer for WSPA for two years since graduating from the University of Georgia.

Sports is the reason I studied journalism, but I quickly learned a drive for news. It has pulled a different kind of composure and leadership out of me. The adrenaline that comes with working on breaking news on deadline can be very rewarding. I’ve led broadcasts during Hurricane Helene and the aftermath, presidential elections, snow coverage and South Carolina’s largest wildfire. And, I still get to jump on any opportunity to include sports in my show. I’ve produced live shows previewing Clemson football’s season opener, the SEC women’s basketball tournament in Greenville and Super Bowl live hits. Sports is news, and I think having that versatility is what makes me a strong producer.

I graduated from the University of Georgia in Dec. 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism, a sports media certificate and a general business minor.

Outside of work, I pretty much let soccer consume my life. Whether it’s playing or watching. In college, I played on the UGA club soccer team and coached for a local high school in Athens.
